Moving on.
Been working on a lot of stuff lately. Making solid progress on the mixtape (Volume 3: The Walking Dead) as far as writing is concerned. Hope to start recording pretty soon, just gotta avoid what's feeling like a mild cold coming on. Also, been toying around with some potential melodies/lyrics for the ANCORA project.
But, what I'm most excited about is the progress I'm making on this story thing I've been dabbling with. I think I may write it in the form of a screenplay just because I don't have to be all literary and shit. I mentioned it in a previous blog, but I'm basing it on some of the crazy dreams I've had over the past 4 months. The hardest part so far is stringing them together in a cohesive manner. It's coming together nicely though, especially since it's my first time ever really attempting something like this. I hope it turns out well. I may post a small piece of it soon? We'll see.
And now for a more general statement...
I've been thinking about the concept of heroes and villians a lot recently. Maybe it's because of trying to write this story thing. Maybe it's something else. Who knows? Who cares? What I've come up with is that maybe it's all about perspective...to a certain extent, of course. No matter what you do, someone is going to have a negative outlook on it. Sometimes when you make the best decisions for yourself, the people who may be affected may feel some type of way about it. And everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But, it can get tough sometimes when you try to be your own hero and in turn people look at you as a villian. Then, you may have to cut off people who hate on your success or your progress to reach your goals. People become ghosts in the end but, when it's all said and done, you can only do what's best for you and whoever wants to make you the villian, fuck 'em. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
With that being said, I'm really happy with all the decisions I've made and/or didn't make to end up where I am. I'm looking forward to the future and those lucky enough to be a part of it.
Also, congrats to Aubrun on winning the SEC Championship. Hoping things work out and they make it to the BCS National Championship game, give the SEC a shot at winning an 8th straight national title. Also, hoping a few team ahead of my Gamecocks get knocked out so we can get the best possible bowl! Damn, what am I gonna do when college football season is over?!
