A Couple Ant-Man TV Spots
I have really high hopes for this movie, as I do with every other Marvel Studios film. I'm also super hyped to see him join the stacked cast of Captain America: Civil War. Marvel hasn't disappointed me yet and I honestly don't think they can at this point!

Let's Have a Discussion About Body Shaming
So, I ran across this photo (slightly modified) on Instagram a few weeks ago. In the comment section there were several rants about how this photo promotes body shaming.
Okay, before I get too far along, let's be real for a second. Yes, body shaming is a serious issue that should not be joked about. I do not condone body shaming or any outward disapproval of someone not having the "ideal" body.
With that being said, I disagree that this photo promotes body shaming. I know how it feels to have body image issues. I graduate high school weighing 140lbs. I lost almost 15lbs my freshman year of college. I had a girl tell me I was "built like a bitch" in my own damn house (which was actually pretty hilarious). I was really unhappy with how tiny I was. I did something about it. I started hitting the gym. I was eating healthy/high protein foods. I ended up gaining over 55lbs of muscle and got into the best shape of my life.
That is why I feel this photo has nothing to do with making people feel like shit for being fat or frail or not "typical." It promotes making the changes you need to make in order to be in the place you want to be. If you aren't happy with something, make a change to fix it.
I know people who complain about being out of shape yet don't do anything to fix it. However, I have to hear about it every damn time they notice I've just left the gym. I've even offered to work out with them (especially since I want to be a personal trainer), but they never join and continue to whine about the shit like it's all going to fix itself! The worst part is that I literally saw an elderly man in the gym today who had 2 ankle braces doing what he could to stay in shape. A few weeks ago I saw a girl that I went to high school with at the gym. She had put on a bit of weight, but she was on the treadmill, sweating her ass off, making a change. I saw her get off and burst into tears because her legs were on fire. I asked if she was okay and she said, "I'll better once I get back into shape."
Don't get me wrong, I don't believe in an "ideal" body. I don't believe we should promote a certain type of body or fitness level. I do believe in being healthy. Not healthy for anyone else, just healthy for YOU! Health is what's most important. So, if you're 6'4 and 120lbs, built like a tetherball pole, and you're comfortable with that, cool! If you're 5'2" and 240 and you're happy with that, more power to you! Own that shit! Just try to be happy and healthy. However, if you want to make a change in health and possibly appearance, do something about it! Don't make excuses or complain. Be about that shit!
Also, check out the website on the photo. It actually supports my opinion.
With that being said, I'm off to watch the NBA Finals Game 3 (sweet Yeezus, when is Football Season?!)
Peace, Rex

New Ant-Man TV Spot
Looks like this movie will be a bit funnier than the past MCU movies (I mean, Paul Rudd...duh). Pretty excited to see it tho! Also dope to know that he'll make an appearance in Captain America: Civil War (aka "Avengers 2.5").
