REX RAPS: December 2012

ok, so as most of my family, friends, niggas, and bitches know, i've been toying around with getting rid of my facebook. i mean, the only time it ever gets used is when my tweets go there and/or when i log on via my iphone just to get rid of the damn invite notifications from groups/events that i don't give a shit about.

i mean, other than the lack of use factor, there are a few reasons why i can't stand it anymore. i mean we all know about the professional aspect of it (don't want future employers to see you drunk as shit last weekend). but, mainly, what used to be a way of keeping in contact with friends has become a means of stalking. i mean, if i want people in my business like that, i'd invite them in, ya know? i can't tell you how many times someone will post shit on my wall and someone else will dig all up in my business trying to figure out who that person is, how i know them, what our relationship is, etc. and i guess you could say "well, don't add people who you don't want in your business" and that's a great rebuttle...which is why i plan to delete everyone i dont know or talk to. you could also ask, "Rex, what do you have to hide?" to which my response would be, "DEEZ NUTZ!" i don't have to explain shit to you, but i will cuz i'm nice haha! another reason i hate facebook is because i think some people can't live without it. i honestly can name at least 6 people that would explode if that shit went out of order. it's an online social network, not your social life. i feel like if some people had to make friends with someone and couldnt add them on facebook (the old-fashioned way), they would have severe difficulty keeping friends! my final reason why i dislike facebook...it's turning into twitter! don't degrade my feed with 300 useless posts and hashtag everything. do that shit on twitter where you can follow me and i DON'T have to follow you.

however, i can't bring myself to completely get rid of the damn thing. number one, i have too many friends from like...middle school that i'd like to stay in touch with. not to mention some of my friends who don't have twitter or consistant cell phone capabilities. also, i have to keep my Rex Raps facebook page up and running.

so...what should i do?

well, i'm gonna pretty much lock that bitch down. it'll look like we're not friends cuz you won't be able to see shit, but i'll still have access to everything, most importantly my artist page. yup...im looking forward to the facebook messages now...oh well. if it really matters that much, ask to follow me on twitter (@rexraps).

anyway, there's my little pre-new year's resolution. as for the real new year's resolutions? who knows? haha
